Fall Fruits and Vegetables

Fruits and vegetables that are in season can depend on the area you reside in. I’m in southern Ontario, Canada and these are some of the fruits and veggies that are plentiful in the fall season.

  • Apples (particularly varieties like McIntosh, Honeycrisp, and Empire which are well-suited to cold climates)
  • Pears (Bartlett, Bosc, and Anjou are common varieties)
  • Cranberries
  • Late-season plums
  • Winter Squash (Butternut, Acorn, Hubbard, Delicata)
  • Pumpkins
  • Parsnips
  • Turnips
  • Rutabagas
  • Beets
  • Sweet potatoes
  • Cabbage
  • Cauliflower

I’m sure there’s more I can add to the list! I especially love going to our local farmer’s markets and scooping up fresh produce.
