My kids really love to be involved in the kitchen. They get so excited when they are dumping ingredients into a bowl and mixing eggs up. I try my best to be patient and yes there is often more mess than I would like to see!
Even though they are young still, I know that having basic cooking knowledge is essential for when they grow up and become independent. So I will continue to try to involve them in simpler meals and baking sweet treats. Maybe one day they will make me some meals! Of course they are always willing to be taste testers as well!
I have compiled 20 baking recipes – including my own cupcakes, that kids will love to help with. They are easy recipes that don’t require a lot of ingredients or involve a lot of steps to make. The final product will have the kids excited to try these delicious treats.
