Today’s world is a very interesting one, because many people follow celebrities almost obsessively. However, many of us seem to forget that celebrities are just normal human beings, and they’re just as prone to doing and saying stupid things as us regular folks. Here are a few prime examples of the dumbest things that they’ve ever said.
1. Mark Wahlberg
“If I was on that plane with my kids, it wouldn’t have went down like it did. There would have been a lot of blood in that first-class cabin and then me saying, ‘OK, we’re going to land somewhere safely, don’t worry.”
For anybody wondering, this epically stupid Mark Wahlberg comment is in regard to 9/11. Yes, that is right, Marky Mark thinks he could have stopped the terrorists from ramming planes into the World Trade Center.
2. Jaden Smith
“Being born was the most influential thing that’s ever happened to me, for myself.”
Although this is by far not the only stupid thing said by Jaden Smith, it’s certainly at the top of the list. Of course being born is influential, because if you weren’t born, you wouldn’t be here at all! It’s really just common sense!
3. Britney Spears
“I get to go to overseas places, like Canada” Yes Britney probably needs a lesson in geography to learn more about her neighbors to the north who would not be geographically located “overseas” to the United States.
4. Shaq
Shaq was once asked if he visited the Parthenon during his trip to Greece. Queue this classic response, “I can’t really remember the names of the clubs we went to.”
5. Niall Horan
When asked what his pet peeve is, Niall responded with “Rabbits they are pointless and do nothing.” Although this might technically be true, we would be fine if their sole purpose was to look like a furry bundle of cuteness.
6. AnnaLynne McCord
“Dear Mister President Vladimir Putin, If I was Your Mother, the World Would Have Been Warm”.
McCord seems to have this idea that if she was the mother of world infamous dictator Vladimir Putin, that everything that he’s ever done could have been avoided, including the war in Ukraine. We’re not sure your parenting would be that top notch AnnaLynne.
7. Bebe Rexha
Bebe was once asked “if you had the chance to time travel, where would you go?” Her response was that she would “travel to Paris in the 1940s”. Seriously, Paris, 1940? At that time Paris was occupied by Hitler’s military. Curfews were imposed, food was rationed, and coal used for heating was scarce. Luckily Rexha quickly realized her mistake and followed up with the tweet “Girl I failed history. I just googled it.” Great catch!
8. Kylie Jenner
This year is really about like the year of just realizing stuff. Everyone around me is just realizing things.”
Yes she is almost a billionaire. Even though it doesn’t seem like Kyle articulated her thoughts very well, some readers actually felt like that understood what she was saying.
“Everyone roasted her for this, myself included. But every year I’m like… Kylie was so right.”
9. Lily Rose Depp
Lily is the child of French actress, model and singer Vanessa Paradis and American actor Johnny Depp. She once compared having opportunities in the modeling industry due to nepotism to having a career as a doctor because of one’s parents. ”If somebody’s mom or dad is a doctor, and then the kid becomes a doctor, you’re not going to be like, ‘Well, you’re only a doctor because your parent is a doctor.’ It’s like, ‘No, I went to medical school and trained.”
One reader commented “Lol sure Lily-Rose. No amount of training is going to get a 5’2 non-nepo baby walking the Chanel runway.” Even petite models start at 5”6 so its a little suspect how she was able to land top jobs without her famous parents.
10. Donatella Versace
The fashion icon turned gargoyle once uttered this gem: “why is everyone in such a panic about a hurricane? Stop projecting negativity! Think positive and pray for peace”. It appears that Versace’s positive attitude has made her immune to inclement weather. One reader joked “lmaoooo Hurricane Sandy destroyed so many houses in my area and our power was out for two weeks. If only we could have all “thought positively” and prayed away the flooding and trees that fell on our houses.”
11. Elizabeth Hurley
I’ve always thought Marilyn Monroe looked fabulous, but I’d kill myself if I was that fat.” If you’ve ever seen Marilyn Monroe, you know just how skinny and fit she really was. We think Elizabeth Hurley needs a new pair of glasses.
12. Kanye West
“When you hear about slavery for 400 years…for 400 years? That sounds like a choice.” Known for his outlandish comments, nobody is surprised when they hear West say such statements.
